White-necked Heron
The Pacific Heron has a white head and neck and dark grey body and wings, with black bill and black legs. No other Australian heron has these colours. The breeding plumage has maroon coloured plumes on the back and wings. Ce hĂ©ron est reconnaissable Ă  sa tĂȘte et Ă  son cou blanc, son corps et ses ailes grises, son bec et ses pattes noires. Nul hĂ©ron d'australie ne possĂšde de couleurs semblables. En plumage nuptial (notre illustration), les plumes des ailes et du dos sont teintĂ©es de bordeaux.
