Common resident species, they live in arid and semi-arid savannahs and open woodlands. They feed exclusively on seeds of grasses, sedges and weeds. Usually seen solitary or in pairs.
Espèce résidente commune, elles vivent dans les savanes arides et semi-arides et dans les forêts ouvertes. Elles se nourrissent exclusivement de graines d'herbes et de laîches. On les voit habituellement seules ou en couples.
