This young bird is a light morph, with whitish underparts and brown above. This species lives in woodlands, mainly thornveld. They feed on caterpillars and termites alates. Ce jeune oiseau appartient à la phase claire, avec les parties inférieures blanchâtres, et le dessus brun. Cette espèce vit dans les zones boisées, principalement les steppes épineuses et se nourrit de chenilles et de termites.
