Striated Heron
Solitary bird, hunting and roosting alone. Territorial. It lives in mangroves, coral reefs at low tide, lakes, sluggish rivers and wetlands. It is fairly common resident. It feeds mainly on small fish and crustaceans, but also amphibians, insects and small mammals. Oiseau solitaire, il chasse et se repose seul. Il est territorial. Il vit dans les mangroves, les récifs coralliens à marée basse, les rivières calmes et les zones humides. Il est assez commun et résident. Il se nourrit principalement de petits poissons et de crustacés, mais aussi d'amphibiens, insectes et petits mammifères.
