Common species, living in thickets within woodland, savannahs and edges with scrub. It feeds on insects caught on the wing and forages on the ground and in low bushes for fruits and seeds.
Espèce commune vivant dans les bosquets à l'intérieur des zones boisées, dans les savanes et en lisière s'il y a des arbustes. Il se nourrit d'insectes capturés en vol, et sur le sol, dans les buissons bas où il consomme des fruits et des graines.
