A common resident, expanding its range westwards. They are all over our suburban gardens in Gauteng. Nearly no day pass without us seeing a couple, and definitely hearing them! They appear grey- brown but have beautiful iridescence on their plumage in the sun, depending on the angle of the light. They feed on insects, worms and molluscs. Résident commun qui étend son habitat vers l'Ouest. Ils sont partout dans les jardins des faubourgs de Gauteng. Il ne passe pratiquement aucun jour sans voir et entendre un couple. Ils apparaissent gris-brun, mais ils possèdent un beau plumage au soleil, cela dépend de l'angle de la lumière. Ils se nourrissent d'insectes, de vers et de mollusques.
